Remuera Swimming Pool and Spa

This Auckland inground swimming pool was a massive project from start to finish. The owners, Cheree and Mark, had big ideas and were already fully into renovating their sizeable house. They wanted a big concrete pool complete with a concrete spa pool and pool house.  It was plastered in ‘Pacific Star’ Quartzon with a ‘black mozaic’ tile which really complemented the newly tiled surrounds which were sand-blasted limestone, with a honed bull nose edge.  

The Auckland owners opted for a hot water heat pump for the swimming pool and a gas heated system for the custom built spa pool. They also choose to have a covered pool ‘cover pit’ which was cleverly hidden beneath the tiles at the far end of the pool.  The heating options would significantly extend their swimming season.
